Chris Lee

Executive Director, Head of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) & Clinical Supply

Chris Lee joined SK Life Science Inc. in May 2025 as Executive Director, Head of CMC and Clinical Supply. He brings over 20 years of experience in CMC development and commercialization within the biopharmaceutical industry. His expertise spans the full product lifecycle—from preclinical development through clinical phases, regulatory submission, product launch, and life-cycle management.

The CMC and Clinical Supply function Chris oversees ensures that SK Life Science’s drug products are developed and produced with consistent quality, safety, and efficacy. His team oversees the chemical and biophysical characterization of drug substances, the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes, and the implementation of quality control measures. Also, this group is responsible for overseeing the planning, production, packaging, labeling, and distribution of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) for clinical trials, ensuring full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards. 

Prior to joining SKLSI, Chris spent nearly two decades at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he played a key role in the global regulatory approval and launch of two biologics products: Yervoy® and Opdivo®. He also led the CMC development of nine clinical candidates across diverse modalities, including monoclonal antibody, bispecific antibody, radiopharmaceutical, and small molecule. Additionally, Chris spearheaded the development and execution of the long-term strategies for product supply, manufacturing network design and CMC life-cycle management for the commercial cell therapy asset Breyanzi®.

Chris is recognized for his ability to lead cross-functional matrix teams and is passionate about building high-performing organizations. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, an M.S. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University, and an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey.
