Sunita Misra, MD, PhD joined the SK Life Science, Inc. team in 2023 initially supporting the ongoing clinical studies. Her deep experience as a clinician and researcher in pediatric epilepsy will enable Dr. Misra to guide the organization’s clinical development strategy.

Dr. Misra earned her Bachelor’s degree at Emory University and her MD and PhD in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University. From there, she completed a pediatric neurology residency and fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Misra then joined the faculty at Northwestern University as a physician-scientist. She cared for drug-resistant pediatric epilepsy patients at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and conducted research on genetic causes of pediatric epilepsy.  Prior to joining the SK Life Science, Inc. team, Dr. Misra held a position at Neurelis, Inc. supporting CNS indications with a focus on epilepsy.
